Liverpool transfer news and rumours: £20million bid for Koln defender Jonas Hector to be submitted

Liverpool will launch a £20million bid for Germany defender Jonas Hector, according to The Sun.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly unconvinced by Alberto Moreno and is adamant that he will bring in a replacement before the end of the transfer window.
Koln full-back Hector is allegedly at the top of Klopp's transfer wish list and he could launch a bid shortly.
Like Moreno, Hector is an attacking left-back and notched up more crosses blocked than any other player in the Bundesliga last season.
But Klopp reportedly sees him as a more defensively secure option than Moreno. click below for more transfer rumours happening in all clubs

Swansea close in on £5m Llorente

Swansea are closing in on the £5million signing of Sevilla striker Fernando Llorente .
The Welsh club are trying to tie up the deal before sanctioning the £20m departure of forward Andre Ayew to West Ham.
Llorente has been a Swans target following the departures of Eder, Alberto Paloschi and Bafetimbi Gomis. The Spain star is set to arrive with a wealth of experience, having lifted three Serie A titles with Juventus and the Europa League with Sevilla last year.
With his chances thought to be limited at the Spanish club, Llorente has jumped at the chance of a move.

Arsenal target " Icardi"-appears committed to Inter

Arsenal could have been dealt another blow in their chase for a striker with Mauro Icardi appearing to reaffirm his commitment to Inter Milan.
The Argentine has been linked with a move away from the San Siro this summer with wife and agent Wanda Nara vocal on wanting to engineer a transfer.
Napoli, now shorn of Gonzalo Higuain, are also interested in his services.
But it appears, for the time being at least, Icardi remains committed to the Nerazzurri.
“Not long now until the start of the season,” he tweeted. “It’s not long now for these moments of joy.”
And he tweeted a picture of the San Siro yesterday with a similarly positive message

Spurs keen on £10m Silva

Spurs want £10million Portugal international midfielder Rafa Silva .
Mauricio Pochettino has a long-standing interest in the 23-year-old Braga star dating back to last season.
Silva was part of the Portugal squad that lifted the Euro 2016 title last month in France. Spurs are understood to be ready to enter into talks over a deal ahead of the coming campaign.
Zenit St Petersburg and Porto are both interested in him but Silva is understood to be keen to play in the Premier League.

Have Juve lined up their Pogba replacement?

Juventus are apparently gearing up for life without Paul Pogba.
Everyone’s favourite friendly neighbourhood French midfielder is on the verge of completing a world record £100million move to Manchester United.
And the Old Lady could replace him with PSG’s Blaise Matuidi, according to France Football.
His agent Mino Raiola - yep him again - has told Matuidi to expect a call.

Arsenal step up Evans pursuit

Arsenal’s pursuit of Jonny Evans stepped up a notch as they sent a scout to watch him in action on Monday, according to the Daily Mail.
Evans played for West Brom against Torquay United at a rain-sodden Plainmoor and the Gunners ensured that they tracked his progress.
Evans is being considered as a potential new signing as manager Arsene Wenger looks for cover at centre-back, with numerous big names set to miss the start of the season.
The Northern Ireland defender would represent a cheap deal and would likely only play in a back-up role following the return of the likes of Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker.

Sunderland and Everton to battle for Liverpool's Benteke

David Moyes is poised to take on his old club Everton for £30million Liverpool strikerChristian Benteke .
The Sunderland boss has made a powerful striker a no.1 priority and has the out-of-favour Anfield striker in his sights.
But Everton also have an audacious move across Merseyside for the Belgian lined up in the event that Chelsea meet their monster £75million valuation for striker Romelu Lukaku .
Crystal Palace moved for Benteke last month but while the south Londoners were ready to meet his £120,000-a-week wages it is understood they failed to match Liverpool’s £30million asking price.
Liverpool are adamant that Benteke will stay unless that valuation is met, despite the fact he is down the pecking order at Anfield.

Mourinho hints Pogba deal is done

Jose Mourinho claims that Manchester United will complete the signing of one more player before the Premier League season begins next week.
The world record deal to bring Paul Pogba appears to be close to completion and could be announced in the coming days.
Mourinho said: “The reality is we’re going to sign one more player, the market closes, as you know, 31st August.
“So, we have plenty of time to do that but I would like to do that before the Premier League starts.”

Martinez new Belgium manager

Now this has come out of nowhere.
Roberto Martinez is the new Belgium manager.
The Spaniard was sacked by Everton at the end of last season after a dismal run of results.
He’s done well there, hasn’t he!
